The strangers club offers a unique environment with a warming tropical feel. Their menu accommodates vegans and vegetarians and includes some of the most mouth-watering sandwiches and coffees you’ll ever taste.  The strangers club is truly tucked away and if you’re looking for a quite spot removed from the noise of the surroundings, then this is the perfect spot for you. The Backyard Café – Diep River

The Backyard Cafe is quite literally in the name. You can find it nestled in Suburbia Diep River, if you didn’t know it was there you might very well miss it. You will be shocked at the magnificence hiding in this backyard. With couches and chairs in the sun and the sound of birds tweeting in the distance it really does leave you feeling like you are in some fairy-tale. The menu consists of a variety of breakfasts and lunches and some must try baked goods. Their smoothies are to die for and the coffees are even better! Lekker – Kalk Bay

Lekker has quite a few spots all over, but Kalk Bay is one of the favourites. Tasha’s provides a buzz of ongoing conversation, café lounge music and the general movement of life. If you enjoy people watching then you’ll definitely enjoy finding a comfortable spot here. Their menu is vast and there is more than one, repeat they have more than one menu… an everyday menu, a specials menu and a waffle menu. That’s right temptation is right around the corner with a build your own waffle menu at your fingertips! Nourish’d – Observatory

A definite boost to the system, Nourish’d will have your heart and body feeling happy as soon as you step through the door. It has an over whelming sense of passion and love which makes it a great space to work in. Their order and sit down procedure makes life easy and great service is guaranteed! The menu boasts a variety of healthy and delicious breakfasts, smoothie bowls, juices and coffees to keep you and your hardworking brain sustained. Who could say no to basically the best ice cream in town, what’s better? They sell coffee and have free Wi-Fi. This is the perfect stop if you are on the way to class or on the way home. Chardonnay might not boast the 2018 aesthetic but it makes farm style work in ways that have all hipsters dripping with lust. With food so good that it challenges your mothers and coffee that is seriously worth every cent, Chardonnay Deli has happily crept its way onto this list. Around the corner from UCT Cocoa wah wah provides a local and centred spot for students to stop off between classes for a coffee and food.
