The Silo:

So you’ve just had an exciting and interesting weekend and it’s Sunday and you’re not exactly ready to wind down. You’re looking to serve your girls with the tea and chop it up while keeping the excitement going… you want to live your best life and tell of it. I suggest that you slip into that sheer slip dress coupled with a yummy mule or climb into something denim or nautical and that you gather up your ladies and head on to The Silo Hotel located near the picturesque V &A Waterfront in The Mother City.

The best way to get the whole dainty but lavish affair started is to head up to the stylish 6th Floor where you’ll find the Granary Café with its lush and lavish couches and beautiful views.

The Price:

At just R160 pp, you and your girls can treat yourself to an elegant and graceful Afternoon Tea which includes the pastry chef’s selection tasty treats, cake of the day, a variety of savouries, a selection of pot-brewed tea, while you serve your girls with the #weekendtea. The BEST part about it all is that you don’t even have to book. It is most definitely worth mentioning that if you’re interested in a more “royal affair”, The Royal Tea is served at R275 pp, for which you’ll have to book 24 hours in advance. The Silo has will go the extra mile for you and your dietary requirements, granted you let them know 48 hours in advance. Tea is served daily between 14h30 to 16h30.

The Food:

Once you’re done sipping on some tea, it’s time to take things to the next level. Literally. The Silo Rooftop Bar is truly special and is the definition of living the high life. The panoramic views are spectacular and magical. One side boasts Table Mountain, one of Nature’s 7 Natural Wonders, and the other boasts panoramic views of Cape Town’s beautiful coastline and the bustling V & A Waterfront.

The Drinks:

To complete feeling on top of the world, you’re welcome to enjoy beautiful and delicious cocktails while enjoying a nibble from the bar menu filled with delicious flatbreads, beef empanadas, and chicken spring rolls. My personal favourite is the bar snacks which has biltong, salted mix nuts & crisps for R115. The Silo Rooftop is for hotel guests but is open to the public by prior reservation only and is weather dependent… which is perfect for the summer!

With your girls by your side, gorgeous views, delightful drink while having The City of Cape Town at your feet, what better way is there to round up your weekend and start you week living like the Queen that you are.
