It’s official. No more need for jealousy as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas aka NickYanka are married! The lovely couple – who got engaged in July this year – tied the knot over the weekend. We’ve been waiting in anticipation for the pictures, and yesterday the newly-weds finally shared a glimpse into their big day (s).
Priyanka married Nick in a three-day extravaganza, which included a Christian and Hindu ceremony, each marking their different cultures and faiths. The wedding took place at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodphur, India. The venue is a literal palace – it’s home to the Jodhpur royal family and includes 347 rooms, a hotel, and a museum (royal wedding 3.0 maybe?)
The Christian Ceremony
The Christian ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon and was officiated by Nick’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas. Both bride and groom were dressed by Ralph Lauren. In fact, both families, all of the bridesmaids, and all of the groomsmen wore looks by the designer. This gives us all the feels because both Priyanka and Nick wore Ralph Lauren at the 2017 Met Gala, which is when they started seeing each other.

Priyanka was absolutely glowing in her sheer long-sleeve gown, which featured floral and scroll motifs, lace-effect tulle appliques, scalloped sleeves and a high-neck collar. Underneath this was a strapless column dress made up of over two million pearl sequins. What makes this dress all the more special is Priyanka’s eight messages she had embroidered into her gown: her wedding date, the groom’s full name, her parents’ names, a Hindu mantra, and the words family, hope, compassion, and love. So sweet, right?
As for Nick, he wore a custom Ralph Lauren Purple Label double-breasted black tuxedo, and custom patent shoes. Priyanka was not the only one who added a personal touch to her attire – inside the lapel of Nick’s tux is a piece of lace from Priyanka’s gown with the words “My Jaan” (which means My Life in Urdu). The two exchanged rings by Swiss jeweller, Chopard.
The Hindu Ceremony
The couple’s wedding festivities continued into Sunday evening with a traditional Hindu ceremony. Both were dressed in traditional Indian outfits by top Indian designer, Sabyasachi. Priyanka looked stunning in a sparkly red lehanga (a long embroidered skirt with a matching cropped top and veil) made of hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, and Siam-red crystals. On her head, she opted for a 16-carat oval-shaped diamond drop, by Chopard. Like her gown for the Western ceremony, Priyanka added a personal touch: Her parents’ names as well as Jonas’ name were sewn into the waist of the skirt.
Nick looked just as dashing. He had on a hand-quilted silk sherwani (a long coat) with a hand-embroidered chikan dupatta and a chanderi tissue safa. His jewels included a rose-cut kalgi and Syndicate diamond necklace, both by Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery Collection. The couple both finished off their look with shoes by Christian Louboutin – Nick had on gold loafers while Priyanka wore a pair designed by Christian Louboutin x Sabyasachi.
In an interview with People Magazine, Priyanka said that Nick’s suggestion to have two ceremonies melted her heart. “Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special.”
We can’t get enough of this couple and wish them everything of the best! We look forward to more wedding posts and perhaps some honeymoon snaps.
