The biggest ultimate gay costume party in Africa, for the past two decades, is being held in Cape Town CBD on the 15th of December. This occasion is what put Cape Town on the map of queer culture with beautiful human beings coming from all over the world to celebrate gay culture.

The themed costume party celebrates the inclusion of gay rights in South Africa’s new Constitution. This year’s theme is  ‘The Musical’ and we’ll definitely be decked out in the best.  The party stretches out over eight music areas and offers up over a hundred international DJ’s, artists and performers.

New Years Eve at the V&A Waterfront

The V&A hosts the biggest NYE celebration in South Africa.

The parade starts at 6pm at the Flagpole courtyard.

The Cape Minstrels take over the streets of Cape Town annually for the historic  Tweede Nuwe Jaar Street Parade. The marches start off in Rose Street in the Bo Kaap till the Grand Parade in the Cape Town CBD.
