Looking for a reason to leave the house this weekend? Try these four social spaces this weekend.

1. Yours Truly (Kloof and Loop)

You have probably seen the trendy coffee shop’s branding on your Cape Town Instagram stories.   YT on Kloof is a coffee shop by day and becomes an over 21 bar at night. If you’re looking for an IG friendly spot or a place to have your pre-drinks (as it closes at 11pm). Then YT kloof’s upstairs section is the place to go for a good time as they have DJs coming in on Fridays and Saturdays. Get there early, to avoid standing the night away.  YT Kloof is the perfect spot if you are looking for a chilled and early night. But if you’re thinking of being out and about then head on to the YT on Loop. Take walk through the famous Long Street and also try the places below.

2. Tjin Tjin Rooftop Bar:

This is Japanese bar in a roof of the 200-year-old townhouse with exquisite interiors is the perfect spot to catch the beautiful Cape Town sunsets. Besides that they host an exquisite cocktail menu! Depending on the night, this small space will either be packed and busy or very quiet.

3. Souk:

Lounges are sometimes the way to go! If you hoping to bump into the Cape Town’s elite at no hefty entrance fee, head over to Souk.  Tuesday to Friday during the day you can enjoy tapas and cocktails at half price at the Souk lounge or terrace. By night, this place has a live DJ set to set the mood for any day of the week. Be it slow Rnb jams or Gqom. On weekends, after 11pm you’re promised a good time with the DJ playing the latest hits from your hip-hop to Qgom until Souk closes at 2am. The friendly bouncers and barmen will definitely have you coming back.

4. Coco Cape Town:

You can’t come to Cape Town and not give Coco a try. Known for hosting the elite of Cape Town and South Africa, this club promises a night to remember. It is an over 23 space and right of admission is reserved. Close your night at this space as they close their doors at 4am. Watch out for their Instagram feed as they always announcing their live acts for the weekend. If you don’t make upstairs, you can still hang around Gold bar which is right at the door.

These four spaces are sure to cater for anyone’s nightlife “need”. From Yours Truly’s young and eccentric to Coco’s exclusive and expensive!
