The holiday season has (sadly) died down but our restless spirit is still very much present and it is always a good idea to take a road trip with our family and friends. Kick-start your year with a (not-so-much deserved as of yet) break and visit some of the following aesthetically pleasing and totally Instagram-worthy destinations just about an hour away:

  1. Babylonstoren

Lose yourself in the farm lifestyle at Babylonstoren, one of the oldest Cape Dutch Farms situated in the Franschhoek Wine Valley. With impeccable interior design and landscape, the estate consists of a huge farm, a winery, a farm shop, a boutique hotel and spa and it’s very own restaurant called Babel.

At the heart of all this, the estate has a beautiful garden with a greenhouse restaurant located at the far end. The Greenhouse restaurant is one of our favourite focal points as it provides visitors the perfect green retreat carefully hidden in between the oak trees and offers the complete ‘garden tea’ experience.
