1. The Explorer

Visit the top of Table Mountain:

Take your lunch date to the next level – literally. Your favourite restaurant might be great, but nothing will beat lunch 1085 metres in the air. Enjoy something to eat, try the cheesecake and take a walk around to view Cape Town like you’ve never seen it before.

Pick your own bouquet at the Chart Farm:

Right in the heart of Cape Town is a rose farm where visitors can go and pick their own flowers. Walk through the garden, take pictures along the perfectly coloured flowers and smell the roses, literally. There’s also a cute cafe with amazing views where you can relax and enjoy some cake and tea.

You can choose a chocolate bag with creamy truffles and delicious pralines. For those who want to keep the magic alive in their own kitchen, you can choose to make chocolate cakes and sweets at home. Enjoy oysters and bubbly at African Pride:

The combination of a luxurious space and decadent food is something bae won’t easily forget. Treat your palate to freshly shucked West Coast molluscs and an assortment of authentic French Champagnes. You also get to pick whether you want your oysters chilled or tempura fried and whether you’d like to sip Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon or Tribaut.

3. The Chilled One

Explore Bay Harbour Market:

Take a walk around the market and see what the locals are up to. Then enjoy the live music, yummy food and great vibe. It’s just you, bae and the incredible view.

Picnic in Kirstenbosch Gardens:

Pack a blanket, some snacks and bae. There’s no limit to the amount of snacks you can take in with you, so pack in all of bae’s favourites, pick a spot under the trees and spend a sunny afternoon catching up with your partner. Every Sunday during Summer, the garden hosts a Summer concert, so if you want to add an extra special touch, book tickets to a live show.

Watch a Movie at the Pink Flamingo Rooftop Cinema:

Not many people know that there’s an outdoor cinema on top of the Grand Daddy Hotel on Long Street. The Pink Flamingo Rooftop Cinema is an open-air cinema that shows classics like Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing. Your ticket includes a welcome drink, a bag of sweets, and popcorn. But if you really want to impress, then you can pre-order gourmet food basket for you and bae.
